What to know when buying an appliance in Germany

German appliances use the Type F (Schuko) plug on 230V.
Cookers and hobs in Germany are usually hard-wired to a three-phase 400V cooker connection (Herdanschluss). Our installers connect them through a qualified electrician.
German kitchens are built around 60cm units, and many fitted kitchens use integrated appliances behind matching doors.
Old appliances are taken back for recycling under the German ElektroG rules when we deliver the new one.
