Key technologies explained

Electrolysis uses an electrical process to convert water, salt and vinegar into hypochlorous acid, commonly abbreviated as HOCl. The Aaira Surface manual describes high and low concentration settings and gives operating instructions for preparing the solution. HOCl is the active ingredient produced by the system. The device is therefore different from a conventional spray bottle because it makes the solution when required, using the specified ingredients.

DH Lifelabs also uses active technologies in its wider air-purification range.
